Fuzhou's department stores are vast and various: ranging from the high-end and the swanky to the bargain basement. The city boasts many luxury department stores, such as Rainbow Department Store, Oriental Department Store and Ocean Grand Department store, which are always good for a splurge or a window-shop. These stores all feature popular international brands and other high quality goods that are great for gifts, especially during holiday sales. Meanwhile, Baolong City Plaza and Yonghui Supermarket are Fuzhou's more budget-friendly shopping options, great for picking up every-day goods.

3) Grand Ocean Department StoreView In Map
There are three Grand Ocean Department Store branches in Fuzhou. Our favorite one is the Grand Ocean Department Store - Dong Jie Branch (大洋百货-东街店). The other two stores are the Grand Ocean Store (大洋天地店) in the Super Brand Mall (正大广场) and the Wushan Store (乌山店) in Guanya Plaza (冠亚广场). This multi-storied department store is a bit pricey but is a great place to find quality foods in Fuzhou. There is also a great selection of sporting goods on the 6th floor and the 8th floor houses various restaurants that are quite popular with the locals. The mall generally holds many sales and promotions during holidays, so be sure to check back around then to find some deals.

5) Yonghui Supermarket - Huida Branch View In Map
The Huida branch of Yonghui Supermarket (永辉超市-汇达店) is one of the largest and best places in Fuzhou for "buying the basics". The first floor features a ton of fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as many mark-downs and bargains. The second floor is a department store with reasonable prices on various goods. This market is very popular and is normally quite crowded during weekends (check-out lines get ridiculously long), so it's best to come during the week to avoid the huge crowds.
