Fake Relationships Teach Students to Search for Love

Fake Relationships Teach Students to Search for Love
Nov 10, 2014 By eChinacities.com

In another weird story to do with relationships and universities, more than 100 of university students at Southeast University’s College of Civil Engineering have been paired up into couples in order to improve their relationships with the opposite sex.

The Nanjing students would earn points as a pair if they posted pictures of themselves doing couple-like things online – how adorable. Samples of activities that a couple might do were listed as sharing a drink with one straw, and hugging. They were also found kissing, albeit through a glass plate.

One of the initiators said that he hoped it would encourage the students’ search for love, a hot topic in China. Perhaps people who had learned how to be in a relationship wouldn’t nearly burn the school down while expressing their love, nor romantically propose using 1001 hot-dogs. Who knows?

How romantic? Relationships that someone can "like," "comment" and "share." Love in the modern age when people don't have the ability to talk face to face with each other because it's just easier to tap on a little rectangle.
