Student Relationships Labelled as “Prostitution” by Guangdong School

A business university in Guangdong has compared casual student relationships with common petty crimes existent in China today, such as the use of waste oil and speeding.
Students at the school are being told to sign an agreement that prohibits them to check into local hotels with members of the opposite sex, with the local police also maintaining checks on what will be condemned as “promiscuous, prostitution-like behaviour”, with the added threat of immediate expulsion from the school should they be caught.

On December 31, a reporter arrived at the school and was told by students that they are now not even allowed to cross the pedestrian street opposite the school due to there being a collective of “services” available nearby. The students aren’t worried however, as one stated “If I want to check in at a hotel all I have to do is say I’m not a student at the school.”
