A student at Liaoning Advertising Vocational College nearly burned down his entire vocational college when he set off fireworks in order to declare his love to a fellow student.
The freshman wanted to impress the girl, a sophomore, with a fireworks display when one of the fireworks set fire to nearby trees. From there, the fire spread quickly, causing multiple onlookers to gather and film the incident, which subsequently went viral on Weibo.
In the end, it took firemen about an hour to extinguish the fire, which by then had spread across 300 meters. Thankfully nobody was hurt in his fiery display of love. Rumour has it that the girl wasn’t even looking.

Can we stop turning every " dumb Chinese" human interest story into a forum on whats wrong with society here?? You dont look wise or insightful. Its a dumb accident. Happens everywhere. I dont know how or why people here forgot this but for the rest of the English speaking world the good ol USA is our source for stories of dumb fuckery. Be it a crack head who buys fake drugs then calls the cops on himself to report it, or a bank robber getting stick in a revolving door, chimney, vent ect. The states is chalk full of these morons and i dont ever remember it becoming a referendum on whats wrong with society. Its just a dumb ass, nuff said. Leave it at that dude and try not to get stuck on your way out!
