China’s Pollution Result of Global Warming?
Oct 29, 2014 By eChinacities.com

According to ECNS, a professor at the Nanjing University of Information and Technology has released research results that demonstrate that the increasing amounts of smoggy days in eastern China are related to global warming and the melting of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau glaciers.

Professor Zhao Tianliang’s research shows that as the plateau warms, the temperature difference between land in the region and the ocean off east China is reduced, weakening wind and allowing for the smog to build up in east China. This is what we have seen at three times this month, so far.

This research indicates that changing pollutants wouldn’t have a huge impact on air quality if the plateau continues to warm and the glaciers continue to melt. This is terrible news for China, as pollution poses health risks and is now also scaring off tourists.

Global warming is causing pollution in China? I think there might be a mix up of cause and effect here....
