2) Moon Bay Rafting (月亮湾漂流)View In Map
Moon Bay (Yueliangwan) is known as Caicun Town's "premier bamboo spot", so it's no surprise that bamboo rafting is the main draw in this area. It is also considered one of the most beautiful tourist areas south of the Yangtze River, and a famous Chinese TV drama was once shot here. Rafting the area takes about two hours (it's about 700 m in length). Since this is such a popular rafting destination, many of the local women sell handicrafts and other items around the area. As compared to the other areas listed, rafting here is pretty smooth and comfortable, so there's no need to worry about getting wet (if you don't want to).

The bamboo rafting area is about 6 km in length, and will take about 90 minutes to complete. Along the way, the river can get start to meander and you may encounter some thrill-inducing rapids (if you dare!): once you go through the entrance, you can drift through a dam area where you will ascend 10 meters and then drop below. As long as you hold on to the safety rings along the raft, your ride will be safe and smooth. The area around the river is very quiet and is therefore a place to feel carefree and relaxed.
