Typhoon Seagull to Reach China Coast September 16 Morning

The China Meteorological Bureau has issued an orange alert as Typhoon Seagull makes it’s way towards Guangdong.

The tropical storm which has been classified as severe (grade 14-15, 14-50 metres per second) has already entered the South China Sea and is due to make landfall tomorrow morning. Yangjiang in Guangdong and Wanning in Hainan are the towns expected to be most severely affected by the typhoon.

Forecasts have predicted that Hainan, Fujian, Guangxi and Guangdong will experience wind speeds of up to 11 on the scale and severe rainfall, starting this morning and lasting for at least 24 hours.
