Three Students from Hong Kong Stopped at Border for ‘Smuggling’ Google Glass
May 08, 2014 By eChinacities.com

Three students traveling from Hong Kong to Shenzhen recently were stopped at Luohu Customs on the Chinese side for trying to bring Google Glass into the country. The officials said that bringing the high-tech product into China is in violation of up to 20 importing laws.

It is unclear how many pairs of glasses the trio tried to bring in but the officials did say that a personal pair per person was fine, but any more than that is not. If you hope to bring more than one pair per person into China then you need to either fill in the necessary application forms or order them online to be delivered.

The students, aged between 16 and 19, are being held under anti-smuggling laws after pleading guilty to the charge. They are awaiting sentencing.
