Xiang You Shan Hu is a noted Shanghainese delicacy made from mud eel that is cut into strips and carefully seasoned.

 Ba Bao La Jiang (Eight Treasure Spicy Sauce) 八宝辣酱
Eight Treasure Spicy Sauce is made from eight different kinds of poultry, meat, vegetables and fruit. Ba Bao La Jaing is stir-fried, keeping the fresh vegetables crunchy; it’s spicy and salty, but with a hint of sweetness. Perfect when accompanied by other meat dishes and rice.

Locals refer to Wang Baohe as the “King of Crabs and Forefather of Wine.” This long-standing culinary institution has served thousands and thousands of customers since 1744 - it must be doing something right. It is famous for “Wang Baohe” wine and “Steamed hairy crab.” Recommended dishes include Fu Rong Xie Fen (fried crabmeat with egg whites), Xue Hua Xie Dou (“snowflake” crab), Xie Huang You Si Bao (four kinds of braised vegetables and crab roe), and Xie Fen Xiao Long (crab-meat dumplings).
