According to a survey released by Pew Research Center, over the last 23 years the Chinese diaspora has increased from around 4 million to 9 million. This places China 4th behind India, with over 14 million, Mexico with over 13 million and Russia with over 10 million.
The report also indicated that the number of migrants moving to high-income countries is still on the rise and that the USA is still the number one destination for migrants, with 1 out every 5 currently living there.
