January 1 saw the implementation of a new visa rule at Zhoushuizi Airport in Dalian. International visitors who land at the airport from 51 designated countries, will receive a 72 hour visa to allow them to see the city while they wait for their next flight.
The 72 hour visa is dependent on showing proof of your plane ticket to the country of final destination as well as a visa for that country.
The 51 countries who qualify are shown in the table below.
