Lenovo Group Ltd has launched a new high-end tablet prior to Apple’s highly anticipated new iPad launch: the Yoga Pro convertible tablet.

Yang Yuanming, the chairman and chief executive of Lenovo, said that Lenovo is ready to take on the global market, especially in developed countries, whose markets’ Apple seems to have staked a claim, China Daily reports.

The ultra-thin Yoga Pro convertible tablet has a 13-inch HD touch screen and a projector, as well as 18 hour battery-life, and is going to be priced at 3,999 RMB. Lenovo deems the new tablet to be the perfect contender for the iPad that Apple is expected to launch this quarter.
