Uzumaki Naruto, a Japanese manga character, has appeared in a huge, inflatable, and 3D manner in Guangzhou’s Pearl River Delta. The pipe-smoking duck can be found near Guangzhou’s Canton Tower.
Reports indicate that the huge balloon is a portrayal of the actual toad used by the Fourth Hokage, Naruto’s father, to battle the Nine-tailed Fox. It is not certain who placed the duck there, but some suspect Florentijn Hofman, while others believe the manga’s online game counterpart are using it to advertise for the game: Naruto Online.
This is not the first time that inflatables have caused a bit of a stir in China: Florentijn Hofman’s must anticipated duck has done a tour of Beijing and Shanghai, and once upon a time there was also that huge inflatable Hello Kitty.
