Holiday Restrictions: Forbidden City to Close August 22 to September 3
Aug 24, 2015 By eChinacities.com

The Forbidden City will be closed from August 22 to September 3. This news comes as the latest update on closures and restrictions on and leading up to the September 3 holiday.

Beijing has already implemented an odd-even license plate policy which will continue until after the holiday, and will close its airport the morning of September 3. Packages sent in the weeks leading up to the holiday may be checked by security and will need signatures upon delivery.

Beijing also declared martial law in Sanlitun, Tiananmen Square, and Wangfujing closing most businesses the weekend of August 22-23 for a military parade rehearsal.
