The Canadian woman who accidentally killed Ms. Cui, a Chinese woman in her seventies, on the Great Wall has reached a compensation agreement with the deceased woman's family. She has also personally apologized to the old woman's family. Ms. Cui's eldest son said that the Canadian had spoken to the family and that they had accepted her apology. The family previously filed a civil lawsuit against the Canadian woman. The two sides have since reached a compensation agreement and the family is currently waiting for the Canadian woman to fulfill it.
