Three Buddhist monks caught on caught on camera in a physical scuffle were dismissed from Yangzhou’s Ningguo Temple.

Footage of the fight recently went viral on the Chinese internet. The one-minute video was filmed on April 24.

The monks had been arguing over trivial matters and then began to fight. The fight resulted in minor cuts and bruises, said Master Qing Chen, the temple’s abbot. Master Qing released a statement about the fight on his WeChat this past Wednesday. He said in his message that the temple had decided to expel the three monks.

Master Qing added that monks had personal grudges against one another, and disagreed on how the temple should be managed. The three monks were part of the temple’s mid-level leadership.

Samsara

In typical Chinese fashion, men acting like babies, yelling and slapping each other like little girls, and trying to pull each other's hair (despite being bald). Watching Chinese men trying to fight is hilarious. --- This video should dispel any notions about Chinese monks and kung fu.
