Explosions Rock Entrance to Communist Party HQ in Shanxi

At approximately 07:40 AM on November 6, a series of explosions occurred at the Communist Party headquarters in Shanxi. The explosions took place in and around the flower beds located at the entrance to these offices. Cars that were passing by sustained damage in the blast from having their windows shattered; the force of the explosion was so powerful that some car tires were deflated as a result.

At present, there are over 20 damaged cars that have stopped within a 100 meter radius of the explosions. One driver of a privately-owned vehicle died at the scene, witnesses described. The number of other injured persons remains unclear at the present time. The local police and fire department are performing rescue, and investigatory procedures.
