On March 19, “eHi Car Service” began its electric car rental service on a large scale. Customers can rent cars with fees determined by how many hours, days, or even months they wished to rent, with an average rental fee of 100-150 RMB per day for an average small electric car. The car batteries don’t need to be recharged as they are actually fully charged (for free) before use at the shops. eHi Car Service currently has three branches across Shanghai, with the main branch located near the Shanghai International Auto City.
