According to report by Soufun International, the city with the highest percentage of people who spend money overseas is currently Shanghai, with 12.55%. Beijing came in second place with 11.56%, while Shenzhen and Guangzhou make up 4.8% and 4.29% respectively. The report noted that 43.95% of Chinese people’s overseas spending is on housing, whilst 24.6% is spent on education. America remains China’s number one destination for overseas spending, with Chinese spending an average of around 500,000 USD on real estate.
