Chinese Government Launches Anti-Dumping Investigation Against EU Wine
Jun 05, 2013 By eChinacities.com

China has filed an application of an anti-dumping and anti-subsidy probe against EU wine, claiming that the EU has been selling wine to China below its value. The move comes as the EU imposed anti-dumping levies on Chinese solar panels on June 4.

China’s Commerce Ministry have stated that the EU imposed “unfair duties on Chinese imports of solar panels”, and have hit back with their own investigations that will last until December 2013.

China imported more than 430 million litres of wine last year, with more than two thirds coming from the EU; it’s most important trading partner.

The EU currently has 31 ongoing trade investigations, 18 of which involve China. China has stated that it doesn’t want this spat to affect its trading with the EU.
