China Sends Experimental Ebola Drug to Ebola-Struck Africa
Oct 20, 2014 By eChinacities.com

A Chinese pharmaceutical company has sent experimental Ebola treatment drugs to affected areas in Africa to begin clinical trials in hopes of combating the disease that is currently devastating large areas of West and Central Africa.

Sihuan Pharmaceutical Holdings Group Ltd. has sent several thousand doses of the JK-05 drug to begin human clinical testing. Although the doses have initially been sent for use by Chinese military and aid workers in the case that they contract the virus, the company hopes that the vaccine will be fully tested and approved within a few months.

China has launched a 200 million RMB aid effort in response to the Ebola crisis, and has donated millions of dollars to the World Health Organisation, and the governments of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Did i read "devastating large areas of West and Central Africa". The epi center is at three tiny countries not large part of west africa which the last time i checked from Wikipedia had 16 member countries. Central africa is certainly not part of epidemic.

Depends on how you define large. The three counties make up almost as much land area as California. If CA is small, then yes this area is also small.

Journalists taking pictures and officials sticking posters. The professionalism you'd expect. What's the stuff anyway? Experimental warm water?
