China Launches Skynet 2016, Catches 26 Corrupt Officials
Apr 22, 2016 By eChinacities.com

One year ago today, Interpol China issued global arrest warrants for the 100 most-wanted corrupt Chinese officials who have escaped overseas. Now, China has launched the second round of its Operation Skynet. As part of Skynet 2016, 26 of the 100 most wanted officials have been brought back to China. Half of the suspects are wanted for embezzlement, some for amounts up to 94 million Yuan.

The arrest warrants, issued April 22, 2015, were the first of their kind in China. The campaign involves a number of important corruption cases in China involving government officials.

Of the 26 suspects, 12 were persuaded to return to China, 10 were repatriated, two were killed, and two were arrested.

What, so China asks other countries to send Chinese criminals back to the State but won't extridite their own for injustices abroad?
