The Canadian Embassy and Visa Application Center will both be closed during the city’s red alert for pollution. The Canada Visa Application Center issued a notice on their official website stating that their office will be closed from December 9 to December 10.
The Canadian Embassy issued a “closing notice,” on their official Weibo. “Canadian embassies and consulates will be closed from December 8 to December 10 in Beijing due to the red alert from pollution within the city. We will resume normal working hours on December 11. Please make an appointment before visiting.”
