Beijing Metro’s Fixed 2 RMB Fare to Change
Dec 16, 2013 By eChinacities.com

Recently, the municipal offices of the Beijing government published its proposal for the “Next Stage of Work to Strengthen Rail Transit Operation and Safety”. This proposal states that Beijing will have a difference of price during rush hour and will choose a proper time in the future to announce it. This means that the current fare to ride the Beijing Metro, fixed at 2 RMB, will see a change in the future in which factors like time and distance will play a role in determining the cost of a fare. As such, taking the metro during rush hour will likely cost more.
