Shenzhen Announces New Subway Ticket Fares

On Dec 23rd, the Shenzhen Development and Reform Committee disclosed that the policy for the Shenzhen City Metro fare will adopt a mileage fragmentation valuation system. The formula is “fare cost = base price + mileage cost” (which will progressively increase in units of 1 RMB).
 

The Policy for the Shenzhen City Metro Fare
Base Fare                                Mileage Fare and Mileage Section
2 RMB for 4 km (least possible cost/distance)      1 RMB per 4 km (for distances between 4-12 km)
1 RMB per 6 km (for distances between 12-24 km)
1 RMB per 8 km (for distances over 24 km)
