Avoid These Cities if You Hate the Heat; 16 Hottest Chinese Cities List Out
Jul 17, 2013 By eChinacities.com

Chinese cities across the country experience scorching temperatures in the summer, but four cities in particular always seem to get the brunt of the heat. These cities have been dubbed “China’s four furnaces” and typically included Chongqing, Wuhan, Nanjing and Changsha.

This year’s list has seen some changes however. On July 15, the official Weibo of China Weather TV announced that the Four Furnaces list had been updated and expanded, with a total of 16 cities included. The rankings were decided on aspects such as temperature, wind speed and humidity. The list (in order) is as follows:

Fuzhou, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Haikou, Changsha, Nanchang, Wuhan, Nanning, Xi’an, Guangzhou, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Hefei, Nanjing, Jinan, Shanghai.
