95 Chinese Companies Make the 2013 Fortune Global 500

On July 8, the 2013 Fortune Global 500 list was released, which details the top 500 companies in world according to their revenues. Oil company Royal Dutch Shell took the top spot, with Wal-Mart coming second, and oil giant Exxon Mobil taking third place.

This year saw 95 Chinese companies on the list, which is 16 more than last year. Three companies, Sinopec Group, China National Petroleum and State Grid, made the top ten.

In the list, all of China’s companies featured made a combined annual revenue of 5.2 trillion USD, which makes up 17% of the total revenue for all the companies included on the list.
