We all know that Dongguan is the cesspit of vice in Guangdong province. When I spoke to my friends about it, they told me it's just for show. Every policeman in Dongguan knows that the town is rife with vice but doesn't do anything about it. And only 12 got caught? Unbelievable! In any case, all the vice bosses who paid monthly protection fees would have been warned weeks ahead of the operations and did their spring cleaning ahead.

6525 / 42 = 155. That's alot of police for a single business. I know there was a meth village in Guangdong which was shut down with hundreds of riot police the other month - and that seemed pretty justified - but if the numbers are correct then this is just headline grabbing.

"By 22:00, 42 businesses had been investigated, 12 of which were fronts for the sex trade industry." I think what the report meant to say was: "By 22:00, 42 businesses had been investigated, 42 of which were fronts for the sex trade industry. 12 of them hadn't given the police enough money and free sex."
