40 Websites Shut Down for Cyber Extortion and “Paid Post Deletion”
May 07, 2015 By eChinacities.com

The National Internet Information Office reported on May 5 that 40 websites were recently shut down because of cyber extortion, “paid post deletion,” and other illegal activities. Cyber extortion websites attack enterprises and demand money to stop the attack. “Paid post deletion,” is when companies or employees accept bribes to delete posts. The campaign against cyber extortion and paid post deletion marks the third wave of a larger crackdown on illegal websites.
