27 Foreign Women Arrested During Prostitution Ring Raid in Beijing
Apr 19, 2013 By eChinacities.com

In early March, Beijing authorities learned of a prostitution ring after noticing various posts outside hotel entrances advertising for the recruitment of prostitutes. The cards all featured the name “A Long” on them, and after carrying out investigations, police discovered three foreign prostitution rings that were regularly active and frequently changed their locations.

At 16:00 on April 10, over 250 police officers were dispatched to the three rings. Police reportedly raided sites in Hebei’s Xianghe County and Beijing’s Chaoyang District and arrested 83 people, including 3 bosses, 10 high-ranking employees, as well as 27 foreign prostitutes and 41 Chinese prostitutes. Further investigations into the case are still underway.
