According to Australian sources, the Australian immigration authorities have received 354 letters of intent from China and several other countries, stating their wishes to immigrate to the country via investment.
Although the authorities have yet to issue any visas, 212 invitations for investment were sent to Mainland China, with the others being sent to Japan, Germany, Singapore, America, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
101 of the these invitations were sent from New South Wales, 81 were sent from Victoria, 29 were sent from Queensland, 8 were sent from well-known mining areas in Western Australia, and 3 were from South Australia.

Seems like the Australian Government has spent all its allocated tax money and needs to prop up the economy with a few Chinese billionaires. Sound economic management I reckon!
