We are usually limited to appreciating the adorable antics of the giant panda at the zoo, but that has all changed now!

On October 24 in the Sichuan Anzihe Nature Reserve, a video taken by the WWF using a remote infrared camera has capture a scene that is simply too cute for words.

The camera used to monitor the endangered species has captured the scene of a happy family of two pandas, a mother and its cub that is lagging behind. Upon seeing the camera, the cub wants to pay more attention to it. However, the mother will have none of it, and picks up the panda cub by the scruff of the neck. Adorable!

Last winter, another infrared camera in the same location took pictures of another mother-and-cub pair of pandas. Fan Zhiyong, director of the species program in the WWF, had said, "Two other pairs of different pandas were photographed here before; this demonstrates that the Sichuan Anzihe Giant Panda Conservation Area is an important area for breeding and habitat in the Qionglai Mountain range, and thus is in need of protection.

In fact, the WWF set up similar infrared cameras all across Sichuan to monitor pandas starting in 2004. It's certainly fortunate that there was a camera recording this scene in the first place, otherwise this display of cuteness would be lost forever.

With these panda protection programs, we are now able to keep close tabs upon this adorable animal.
