6 steps for a Perfect New Year Celebration in Shanghai

The New Year's Eve is approaching but you still didn't manage to make a detailed plan on how to celebrate it? No worries, we have a nice suggestion for you composed of 6 easy steps to make your NYE unforgettable!

1. Make a New Year Resolution in the morning

New Year is the perfect time to put the first brick of a new beginning! Summarize your past year, appreciate what you have already done, and start making a new plan.

What I do, is pick the most important resolution and several minor ones. Write them down on a piece of paper. When you write down you brain subconsciously starts to work on it. And at the midnight burn the paper. The new resolution is ready, now its time to work on realizing it.

For people who have very big goals, don’t worry! As, Kelly McGonigal a famous psychologist from Stanford University advices “Small changes can pave the way to bigger changes. You can make very, very small changes that are consistent with your big goals without having to understand how you’re going to get to the endgame,”

1. 2.      Noon, Movies Time!

Spend the noon to watch best New Year and Christmas movies. Every year I enjoy watching “Home Alone”, “The Family Man” movies. You can choose another movie, the important thing is that you come together with friends and enjoy the movie together. Combine it with a special hot chocolate drink. Add some marshmallows and put some cream on the top. It will make the movie experience even more exciting, and help you to appreciate the cold outside.

1. 3.      Early evening, Dinner Time!

Plan a New Years Dinner with friends or with significant other. New Year’s eve is the best time to spend some romantic time with your partner, or have fun with friends. The period between Christmas and New Year is very memorable, so make sure you make a exciting  There are great deals in almost every restaurant in Shanghai, many of those are quite affordable.

1. 4.      Close to Midnight, Show Time!

Make sure you are in the Lujiazui area around midnight! Believe me you don’t want to miss the celebration happening there. An amazing 4D light show, prepared by word class specialists will make your midnight and countdown unforgettable. In front of you, the buildings will crack down and collapse, rebuild with Tetris bricks, become an ocean full of fishes. All these accompanied with Fantastic audio effects and cartoons characters will make it even more amazing. The “stage” of show is Oriental Pearl TV Tower, accompanied with a concert starting from 11pm.

1. 5.      Midnight, Fireworks!

4D light show will be followed by Countdown, Fireworks and Stage Show in the vicinity. Thousands of people will gather to watch the fireworks and show, so make sure to go there earlier before its start.

To finish the night go to a Bar or Club, Shanghai has a lot to offer. There are many of them just in a walking distance from the show. Spend the night celebrating with friends, drinking and preparing for the new upcoming year.
