This week, a high-speed train test between Hangzhou in Zhejiang province and Nanchang in Jiangxi province was successfully completed – the section that was being tested is a key component of the network that will connect Shanghai and Kunming.
When this link will open to passengers is still uncertain, but it would further connect Nanchang to the high-speed railway network, following the opening of the Guangzhou–Nanchang service in September.
