Guangzhou’s GDP Per Capita Hits 105,909 RMB; Becomes China’s Highest

From 2009 to 2012, Guangzhou’s economy has rapidly climbed, with the city’s GDP increasing by billions each year. In 2012, the GDP hit 1.3551 trillion RMB, meaning that only 4% of the total land space in Guangdong created 23.3% of the province’s total GDP. Meanwhile, Guangzhou’s GDP per capita hit 105,909 RMB, eclipsing both Shanghai and Beijing to become China’s highest.
