Chinese Schools Gain Presence in QS University Ranking for Asia

Britain’s QS University Rankings announced its new rankings for Asia on June 12. Top place was given to The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, while second place was tied between the National University of Singapore and the University of Hong Kong.

Peking University moved up one place from last year and now sits in fifth, while Tsinghua University sits in 14th. The top 50 of the rankings saw entries from Fudan University (23rd), the University of Science and Technology of China (24th), Shanghai Jiaotong University (25th), Zhejiang University (26th), Nanjing University (27th) and Beijing Normal University (46th).

Peking is 44 in the world. They must be pumping lots into research. China loves to be number 1 and sees any other as a fail so money for researching can only increase until they get the gold.
