In the first quarter of 2013, China’s foreign exchange reserves reached 3.44 trillion USD; an amount that is roughly equal to the size of the German economy.

Reserves jumped 130 billion USD, adding a boost to credit growth amid growing concerns over the debt level of China’s economy. China’s foreign exchange reserves are currently the largest in the world.

In March, China’s total exports increased by 10 percent, while exports to Hong Kong specifically increased by 93 percent.
