25 Confirmed Deaths in Guangdong from Typhoon Usagi

Typhoon Usagi has made landfall in China at the city of Shanwei, Guangdong Province on September 22 at 7:40 PM. The 19th such typhoon this year, Usagi has already caused 25 deaths as well as caused major damage to roads and trees. The old city in Shantou has nearly been completely submerged at a depth of 80 cm. Many areas are currently without power.

At present, Usagi has lost intensity and has been re-classified as a tropical storm. On the afternoon of September 23, it entered Guangxi Province. As a result, heavy rain is to fall in the north and west of Guangdong Province, the north and east of Guangxi Province, and the south of Hunan Province.
