Tianjin Driver Detained for Picking Up Passenger While Pants-less
May 10, 2016 By eChinacities.com

A Tianjin driver was recently detained for picking up a passenger while not wearing pants. On May 9, a woman in Tianjin hired a car and was shocked to find that the driver wasn’t wearing any pants, only a pair of men’s boxers on his lower half. She quickly made up an excuse to get out of the car and reported the driver to the police. Later that afternoon, the driver texted a threatening message to the woman.

Tianjin police investigated the incident and found that the car belonged to a 33 year old man named Li. He was brought into the police station and sentenced to 10 days of administrative detention.

Bit discriminatory. If it was a female driver wearing hot pants she prob would have been tipped and become famous.

Then when it said he was wearing boxer shorts I felt betrayed by the article. Slightly harsh punishment. Wearing boxers is like wearing shorts. Having said that though anyone who sends threatening text messages should be punished. I have contradicting views...
