Even thieves are going by the ‘always leave a note’ policy.

At 08:30 on October 27, in front of 81 Beilun Road in Chengbei, cab driver Mr Chen (pseudonym) was heading out for a long work day when he spotted a note stuck to his window. It said: "Dear Mr Cab Driver, the contents of your vehicle was robbed at 03:30 in the morning," along with the date "2013.10.27." Surprised by the fact that a thief left a note, Mr Chen immediately stopped the car and did a quick examination. It revealed that his 200 RMB in spare change had indeed been stolen.

Mr Chen had returned home from work the previous night at 02:40. After parking the car he checked that the doors and windows were all locked. Regarding the safety of his vehicle, Mr Chen said, "I wasn't that concerned since there aren't that many things in the car."

Looking back at the note, Mr Chen couldn’t help but laugh and say, "These days, thieves are very expressive in 'coming clean with the truth'!"

The Yuejianglou police sub-station is currently conducting an investigation. They may be interested in any persons also interested in “coming clean.”
