River In Shanghai Turns Bright Blue; At Least It’s Pig Free Though, Right?

After having their main water source infested with thousands of bodies of dead pigs back in March, the poor residents of Shanghai now have to put up with a 300 meter stretch of river in the Pudong New Area turning bright blue.

“The river stinks and we can see many dead fish floating,” said one concerned resident. Pictures showing blue sewage pouring into the river were posted online by residents, who have since pinned the blame on nearby factories at the Dabai Bay Industrial Zone.

“Sometimes the river turns black or even red,” said another resident – you have to wonder what kind of things these factories are making. Officials have reportedly been sent to “investigate” the scene. Does it really need any investigation?
