Flowers are so passé. They’re not original, they wither, they give people allergies…At least that’s what a customer at a flower shop in Xi’an must have thought when he asked for a bouquet made of 100 RMB notes.

The man entered a flower shop at the Boshulin intersection carrying a photo of a bill folded into a pretty flower. He then whipped out 50 100 RMB notes and asked staff members to turn them into a flower-shaped bouquet. It took the staff a while to figure out how to do, but soon enough a beautiful, pink bouquet of cash was made. The whole thing was then wrapped in pretty paper and cellophane to presumably keep the notes crisp and fresh. Assuming the bouquet was destined for a very lucky lady, the shopkeeper asked if he was intending to propose. “No, it’s for my boss. Whatever the boss orders, we do,” the man responded.

That was the last thing the mysterious man at the flower shop in Xi’an said and nobody knows who his boss was or who received the bribe bouquet. One thing is clear though, you have to commend the boss for thinking outside the box.
