Fuzhou has no shortage of KTV venues. However, if you’re looking for good quality and service, then there’s only a handful worth considering. This article reviews Huanchang, A GOGO and Diyuan, three of the most famous and popular venues in the city. Do they really make the cut in terms of their facilities, interior deco and service? And equally important, are their prices really fair?
Huanchang KTV 欢唱量贩式KTVView In Map
Huanchang KTV is an old name in Fuzhou’s KTV scene. Run by a well-known entertainment company from Fujian Province, Huanchang is a “supermarket style” KTV, which is a Japanese notion that refers to the fact that prices are fair and that customers can usually buy food and drink from elsewhere. Because the venue has been around for a long time, the equipment was starting to look rough around the edges. However, a recent refurbishment has spruced the venue back to life, making the overall inside environment much more elegant and pleasant. The new lighting system also gives this venue’s atmosphere a very unique feel.
Its location is very convenient in terms of public transport and the service is also very good. However, the most attractive aspect of this KTV venue is the price. Out of all the famous KTV names in the city, Huanchang is by far the cheapest and members can even enjoy discounts of up to 90% during the day.
The playlist here is updated regularly, boasting a large selection of the newest pop songs from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan and Korea, as well as a number of popular English-language pop songs. Drawbacks include the fact that private booths here are smaller than at other venues, and they don’t have private en-suite bathrooms. Also, parking facilities for those with their own cars aren’t great either.

A Gogo KTV(Dongjie branch) View In Map
A Gogo is another well known KTV name. Located close to Huanchang KTV in the bustling Dongjiekou area, this venue’s location is also very convenient in terms of public transport. Moreover, the venue boasts its own parking lot, which has been one its ingredients of success. A Gogo has been expanding at a rapid rate; a new branch opened last year in Huacheng.
In terms of environment and sound system quality, A Gogo ranks as the best KTV venue in Fuzhou. If you’re living closer to the Huacheng branch, then that location’s facilities are just as good.
A Gogo’s interior design is simple, yet modern. Playlists are updated quickly and mid-range rooms are relatively cheap, making it perfect for larger groups. However, this venue doesn’t provide any buffet and prices for snacks and drinks are on the high side. If you do choose this venue, then prior reservations are highly recommended if you want to avoid long waiting times.

Diyuan Gecheng KTV帝苑歌城KTV (Fuxin branch)View In Map
Diyuan is one of the largest KTV venues in Fuzhou. It’s got a good sound system and a comprehensive playlist, and is therefore popular with young people in the city. It’s also suitable for hosting business functions, school gatherings, birthday parties etc. Diyuan currently has three branches in Fuzhou (Shengfu, Fuxin and Yongan). The interior décor is luxurious and the service is good.
Among the three KTVs, this is the most expensive one. However, the good news is that the venue frequently has special offers available and members can book rooms at rock bottom prices.
The downsides of Diyuan KTV include a lack of buffet and high prices for snacks and drinks – it’s recommended to come here after a meal. Prior reservations are also highly recommended.
