Anyone in the mood for cheesecake? For those of you who get your pleasure in the form of sweet and cheesy delights, we are about to take you on a tour of Beijing’s finest cheesecakes.  We’ve put our taste buds to the ultimate cheesecake test and here is the best Beijing has to offer.

1) Marble Cheesecake at Sequoia Café 美洲杉咖啡View In Map
Sequoia is simply fantastic in every way so we wouldn’t expect anything below par from the dessert menu. The marble cheesecake is perfect with a cup of coffee and a great book.  Its cookie crust is the perfect base for the creamy cheese swirled with real chocolate. If you are in the mood for something seriously chocolate, try the chocolate cake, which doesn’t appear to always be on the menu but is certainly as rich, moist and heavenly as a chocolate cake should be.

2) Chocolate Cheesecake at The Stumble Inn View In Map
While it isn’t typically expected for a sports bar to have the best food, let alone dessert, The Stumble Inn happens to have a fabulous chef and the most heavenly chocolate cheesecake ever.  A rich and perfect chocolate cookie crust serves as the base to a thick, silky, creamy chocolaty mouse filling. While it certainly is rich, it isn’t overwhelming and is actually quite perfect.

3) Traditional Cheesecake at The Pie House
Any place named the Pie House has to have some fantastic selections on the menu but since we’re talking about cheesecake, we’ll just mention a few of their creamier options.  As for a plain cheesecake, the Pie House has one of the best in town, fulfilling all the requirements of an American-style cheesecake – smooth, creamy and made with high-quality cream cheese.  Another option is the blueberry cheese “pie,” which sort of qualifies as a cheesecake. It makes a great summer treat, with a buttery, flaky crust, a delicious layer of wild tart blueberries in a sweet sauce and a top layer of traditional Pie House cheesecake.

4) German Cheesecake at Café Zarah View In Map
This little café has a variety of cakes to cure a sweet tooth. While all are delicious, the German cheesecake is on our mind; different in texture and not quite as sweet as some. Add a cup of their fantastic coffee or cappuccino and it’s the perfect cheesecake date.

5) Rum Cheesecake at 21 Cake 廿一客 View In Map
Nothing but cake is offered at 21 Cake. For nontraditional selections, this European-style bakery is the place to go. While the rum cheesecake isn’t entirely cheesecake in the traditional sense, it makes for a tasty cousin in the cheesecake family. With its butter cream, rum flavoured icing and a touch of cream cheese filling between two layers of moist lemon cake, it is worthy of making the list. 21 Cake also has an awesome delivery option that is very reliable.

6) Italian Cheesecake at La Pizza
Italian cheesecake is wonderful and La Pizza is just the place for this dessert in traditional Italian style. With a different texture from some cheesecakes this style isn’t as smooth or creamy but that’s okay because it isn’t supposed to be. La Pizza offers several cheesecake options that change with the seasons. The best part is that they are all made from scratch.

7) Fruity Cheesecake at Olio Restaurant & Café View In Map
While global cuisine restaurants try to be masters of all and don’t typically succeed, Olio has definitely succeeded in mastering some awesome cuisine and even more amazing desserts. For the cheesecake lovers, the strawberry or peach cheesecake is the way to go. With bits of fruit to complement the creamy cheese, it’s always a crowd pleaser.

8) All the cheescakes from Divina Cakes
Last but certainly not least are the exquisite range of cakes from Divina Cakes, suitable for those who want more than just a slice. Divina Cakes bakes and delivers Italian cakes on order in Beijing and their selection is absolutely to-die-for. While all their cakes are delicious, you can’t go wrong with their Classic Cheesecake which ways in at almost 1kg and costs 260 RMB. Slightly tangy thanks to the hint of lemon in the cake, this classic has the right combination of sweet and tangy, smooth but crispy (base). The Classic Cheesecake comes in two versions: baked and unbadked – both heavenly!

Hi everyone! Have you ever heard of Cheese Home? It's a family run cafè in Zhangzizhonglu (Metro station exit D, go right for around 30 meters). They're specialized in cheesecakes. The best stuff I tried in Beijing so far! I'm italian and their Tiramisù is as good as my mother's! Couldn't believe it. They also have great coffee from Rickshaw Roasters. Atlunch time they have big salads and "rice pizza". It's definitely worth checking out! :)
