Element Fresh 新元素
This fantastic little place, originally a Shanghai venture, is really making a name for itself in Beijing. They take the element of fresh to the level it should be, with every component from food to décor. Offering a menu full of freshness from their fantastic selection of crisp green salads and healthy appetisers, to the meat and fish selections, which are usually paired with a tasty sauce and always cooked to perfection. The baked chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables is a brilliant selection and the assortment of freshly squeezed juices and smoothie options are a great addition to a fresh meal.

The environment is very sleek and suits the concept perfectly. The outdoor seating is great in warm weather but one of the best things about Element Fresh is perhaps the amazing service – always friendly and efficient. Tim’s Texas BBQ  得克萨斯熏烤 View In Map
Best BBQ this side of the Horizontal divide! Tim’s really knows how to slow roast a rack of ribs and when you are so far from home, the taste of lip smacking ribs smothered in BBQ sauce and falling off the bone is something to treasure. Your choice of beef or pork ribs, brisket and barbecued chicken are all served up with traditional coleslaw, baked beans and cornbread. The potato skins are an absolute must-try, baked with a nice outer crisp and loaded with bacon, cheese, chives and sour cream.

Tim’s doesn’t stop at BBQ, however; since Texas is known for its fabulous Tex-Mex, the perfect addition to the BBQ menu is of course, fajitas, chalupas, quesadillas and enchiladas. What a piece of savory heaven when you’re thousands of miles from your backyard barbeque. There is a real American feel about the place, with all its calculated décor resembling a simple BBQ place from back home. They have an extensive drink menu too but worth a mention are the A&W Root beer and their daily special 10 RMB Tsing Tao.

Chef Too Restaurant美西西餐 View In Map
Chef Too has been voted most fabulous steaks in Beijing more than once. Using high quality beef, which they boast of never freezing, the meat is always cooked to perfection creating a tender, juicy steak. The other meat choices are of equal quality; the ribs and burgers also cooked just right for a mouthful of American goodness. When in season, Oysters are regularly flown in from the States. The side dishes are simple and delightful, hitting the spot with classic choices like creamed spinach, home-style fried potatoes, mashed potatoes and more. And if you are tired of brunching in overrated international hotels with the slew of hotel guests when you really want to enjoy a nice casual weekend brunch amongst friends or even alone with the newspaper, then Chef Too is the place to go. An American-style breakfast is something to be treasured, especially in a country that is accustomed to eating noodles and salad for breakfast. Chef Too Restaurant receives two thumbs up for their weekend brunch, starting with the plate of thick, fluffy blueberry pancakes to the perfectly poached eggs atop a hearty slice of ham.

The Stumble InnView In Map
Now in the Sanlitun Village, the Stumble Inn has much more than a new location to boast about. The two story  venue has a full bar on both floor, featuring over 100 beers and a slew of alcoholic drinks from shooters and martini’s to a wide selection of Long Island Iced Teas. But one of the most impressive additions to the new Stumble Inn is the incredible menu featuring American cuisine. The DIY sandwich menu is a creative touch and they have rather unique options like the Elvis sandwich, which is bacon, banana and peanut butter on white bread and pan fried.  The fish and chips is a fantastic choice; a white filet of fish, battered and fried to a perfectly golden crisp served with Beijing’s best fries, an elegant side salad and delicious, homemade tartar sauce. While fish and chips may not be so American in the name but the concept still fits into fried fish and French fires category. The burgers are a big hit with the bar crowd and while the burgers are traditional, thick and juicy, they add a twist to each selection with unique names and toppings. Most everything is made with fresh and natural ingredients, which is unusual in a typical sports bar, but the Stumble Inn isn’t your average sports bar.  They even make homemade scrumptious deserts. Try the chocolate cheesecake; its thick and creamy body is matched with a chocolate crust for a jaw dropping effect.
