According to city regulations, starting in May Tianjin Smart Bike Rental plan will be put into action. At the same time, the first patch of rental bikes will be placed at “Bike Rental Spots” at each subway stop as well as at some residential areas. It is estimated that within five years, “Bike Rental Spots” will spread throughout the city.
In May, the city will place at least 2000 Smart Bike at every subway stop and many residential neighborhoods, and many more city residents will be able to enjoy this new form of public transportation. Related plans will introduce 2000 – 3000 service points in six districts within two years, placing 50,000 to 100,000 bicycles. Within five years arrangements will in place to services points throughout the city, completely changing traditional ideas and attitudes about bicycle transportation in the city.
