ROC was a legitimate government. PRC would be considered terrorists today.

Not sure how many times people and countries have to say sorry. As Rain said, Japan has done so before. It is appalling manners to not accept someone's apology.

The US has a history with Asia beyound what you seem to know TOM. If you recall that little war WW2, you will then know that America, had and still has allies in Asia. The fact that the US made what was a tactical mistake of first wanting to liberate its friend, the Philippines, is an example of keeping promises to the people, ahead of all out victory. The US lost many soldiers due to that promise but it showed that a nation can be relied upon.
A reasons the US has not been in Asia in such force is a bit of a silly point. Why would you send everything into an area that doesn't need it. USA has allies in Asia and in the past they have taken care of business but clearly they now need payback from the US to support them from an expanding China. This is what allies do, this is why if you go it alone you will fail. In a world that sees changes, it would be silly for countries to not change focus. Europe, India, Australia are also changing focus to Asia. India would love to have the Japanese factories.

If I think about who wronged my ancestor/family etc, then I would have to hate half of the bloody world. English, Germans, French, Americans, Japanese, Russians, Italians, Chinese, Romanians, Italians, Scottish, Irish, Walsh, Spanish, Christians, Muslims, Probably every religion in some way and so many more that I can't think of right now.

There’s a time for love and a time for living.
You take a chance and face the wind.
An open road and a road that’s hidden
A brand new life around the bend.

I couldn't resist the cheese

Like your user name"DISGUST" or whatever, you are really disgusting and I don't have to remind you that if people do not create room for SANITY AND REASONING, their only alternative is to embrace INSANITY AND MADNESS. What happened to that friendly country that lies in the media circles of having HEAVEN ON EARTH MOUNTAINS, HEAVEN TEMPLES...etc just to attract JAPAN and beyond to tour in china?
You don't suppose this is the FRIENDLINESS and WARMTH that the world
expects here amidst all the exaggerations and fabrications of Chinese history and historical sites just to spoon off tourist's DOLLARS.................And "IF NOBODY FORCED THE CHINESE PEOPLE TO " make china a HELL for Japanese expats and Chinese with a taste for INTERNATIONAL BRANDS alike, then I cant imagine what kind of an " ABYSS" china would become when CHINESE ARE FORCED TO.
Like many Chinese, you are a hell of emotion; emotions blind people and its only the BLIND that have to feel their way around but they are even trying harder to walk around with guides and not necessarily counting on feeling( hey I saw the blind doing 100m at the paralympics and it was great!!!)
Do china some good and learn to be discreet! This is the 21st century : Now Israelis and Germans can go or live in either Germany or Israel without fear or discrimination. This is what GLOBALIZATION means and china can learn from Israel.( tips........refer to history books if u are clueless, moron)

jixiang: you are going back to a mote point in this argument. Also don't assume all who speak and type English are American. I have never been to that continent.

Honestly, I just don't care any more. I give up and will no longer give Chinese the time of day, what's the point?
I see Chinese society similar to the racist bigots of apartheid times in South Africa and 20th Century USA.

Bring on the next 5 years living here and dealing with c**ts on a daily bases.

was really disgusted and terrified to read that a chinese in shanghai stabbed two foreigners in broad day light for no reason but mental illness the report added without clarifying what condition he is suffering from.
Can a mentally retarded person distinguish or identify only two foreigners out of the bevy of chinese on the streets and stab them maliciously without attacking any chinese? Whats the logic here? One drunk Brit tried to rape a chinese at night on the street (i'm not condoning this act though)...........we all know what happened on sino-weibo and was expecting a similar response.................but HELL NO!!!!
if china wants a better treatment for its citizens abroad, other nationals in china must be treated better too!!!!!!!!

i've read many articles not one articles that the islands legally belong to japan. treaty of shimonoseki after the first sino japanese war. every chinese person i've talked to, had no pucking clue of this. what the hell are they taught in school??
and lokiu is 100% right. china's is dumb. china is an export based economy. their job market was slowing shrinking. companies were already leaving (slowly) due to the rising costs. but now you can add risky to the list. japan is in the slow process of returning/ selling the islands back to china. they purchased the islands from the private owners, but the dumb chinese took that as an insult (you can't give away what does not belong to you). but china does not understand this concept because china is not a "rule of law" country.
my hopes and prayers goes out to the business owners, tourists, car owners and anyone affected by these acts of ignorance.
lastly the chinese govt should be careful, organizing these mobs to protest against japan could back fire when they realize that the govt that has their boot on the necks of chinese people is not the japanese govt..

lokiu, you are wrong, or rather say in short term yes, in long time no. In long term it will befits not only the Chinese government but also the domestic market.
Demonstration , boycott and blocking is a good way to show the peoples expression, but violence is not an excuse. Sadly enough this violence can′t be stopped, but at the same time it is a product of what is called democracy.

I just hope WHAT U ARE SAYING IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT and lokiu is wrong.
Because that day will come and it will surely come when Chinese will go on a rampage against the CCP in the name of democracy and I cant help but observe if "SADLY ENOUGH THEY CANT BE STOPPED"!!! China has been preaching PEACE globally and I credit the government for this policy but this aggressive act must be seriously condemned and the perpetratotors brought to justice . Japan did BAD in buying this Islands perhaps but China has done WORSE in this mannerism.

Global peace. I have great doubts from China's recent history.
After the Allies (US the main force) saved China from Japan, China betrays the west and joins the cold war against those that helped it.
It invaded its own people in Tibet killing 600,000.
It culturally disinfected Xinjiang by moving Han Chinese there.
It represses its own people and during Mao's time killed around 40 million people.
It represses anything it doesn't like and sends tanks against its own people, which had no weapons.
After agreeing to treaties about the seas around China it now wants to go back on them. China shows aggression against its neighbours, by provoking them with its own navy.
China encourages and continues to teach lies about the past to its own children and refuses to let them have access to any other arguments.

They lie, they have cheated, they go back on their word, they treat their own people as cattle and cannon fodder. Good luck with trusting that when they say peace, they actually mean peace and not in pieces.
