Read any safety sign. "Please hold the hand rail". Especially true if you are old in a crowded area. Also speed is relative. An old man said she was going fast, think about it. Another fact to take into account. The Canadian womans age is left out. What if it was a child? How am I supposed to know?

The Great Wall is crowded enough as it is, and with those narrow stairs it should be common sense to be careful if one has a sense of self preservation. Even when there's a fender bender, someone is accountable. In this case it was a death, but someone should still be held accountable. If a Chinese accidentally kills someone in your country, are your local authorities likely to say, "eh, yeah he/she/it died, but it was an accident, and accidents happen. You're free to go, just be careful from now on."? I think not.

Should that happen I wouldn't be surprised to hear atheists worldwide singing hallelujah. I would go buy a lottery ticket immediately.
