Chongqing was recently successful in destroying two illegal broadcasting stations. One station was located at the Administrative Hotel and Apartments of Chongqing Xiexinxin near Guanyin Bridge in the Jiangbei district of Chongqing, while the other was located at the Daping Dongfang Basai neighborhood of Yuzhong district. Authorities were able to recover transmission equipment and antennae from the two sites as well as a specialized computer used for radio broadcasts.

This past year, the city of Chongqing and Wenzhou County have been receiving broadcasts of a program advertising medical products of an obscene nature. These broadcasts would take place nightly from 22:0 to 06:00. These programs were emotionally affecting with obscene material that would disrupt the normal lives of city residents and influence bad behavior. The destruction of these broadcasting stations has a direct correlation with the transmission of these programs.

If you’re wondering what on Earth could have been advertised during these mysterious broadcasts, you’ll just have to use your imagination. Media reports did not include any details except for the use of suggestive adjectives like “sensational” and “obscene”.
