Strolling through parks in China can be quite the eye-opening experience: you get to see ladies doing their dragon dances, elderly men and women deep in the zone practicing Tai Chi, musicians, singers, gamblers, sleepers…you name it. But park-goers at Martyrs Park in Changsha really got a sight for their money on September 29, when a man was seen pulling a five ton truck with his nose!  

The feat was accomplished by She Jianhui of Hunan Province. He is 50 years-old this year, tall and sturdy, has long hair, and a big nose… a nose that he started to specially train from the tender age of five.

He first took two fine ropes and passed them into his mouth and then threaded them out through his nostrils. Next, he took the end of a steel rope and affixed it to the fine rope, and then started to steadily pull. He pulled the steel rope into his mouth, which then exited through his nostril. After resting for a moment, She Jianhui tied a knot in the steel rope with one end attached to the front of a light-weight truck.

After 10 minutes and having completed all preparations, She began to pull back with his upper body; with many an exerted grunt, She begins to pull the vehicle. After a while, the vehicle began to slowly move forward ten meters before finally coming to a stop. During this time, the driver of the vehicle was sitting in the driver’s seat; he put the car into neutral and was only providing steering for the vehicle.

The driver said that when loaded with cargo, the truck can weigh about five tons. As well, She Jianhui’s nose suffered no damage whatsoever, a feat that has astonished onlookers! Isn’t that amazing!
